I teach a dynamic composition course where students explore and practice writing within the context of print and digital discourses. You will find my composition course materials below, including key readings, a sample syllabus, sample student work and more.

Key readings throughout the course blend traditional essays, video and audio "readings" in order to help students analyze all types of media while developing critical reading and writing skills. Most readings are centered around how digital practices like remix, the use of hashtags, the practice of vlogging, and social media communities influence academic and everyday writing. In addition to a one-stop grammar guide ( in this case, Rules for Writers by Hacker and Sommers), the course pulls a variety of online content from sources like The New Yorker, TED Talks, The Atlantic, and more.
